The Manga Club will meet during A lunch on Wednesday, November 3.

Ideas are needed for individual blogs, reviews, and suggestions for new series. Members need to create a list of missing titles to be replaced in the collection. Research needs to be done with regard to the possibility of attending a manga convention. The anime schedule needs to be reviewed as well. See you on Wednesday!

Anime Screening

Anime screening will take place in the library conference room every Wednesday during A lunch. Funimation continues to provide our anime dvd's. Currently members are watching Black Cat. The next dvd will be Soul Eater. Check with Denise, Rita, or Joe for more information.

Sept. 22, 2010 Manga Club Meeting

Welcome back Manga Club members!! The first meeting went well with Joe presiding. Members will be involved in a community service project for the local food bank. Cereal will be collected in the library and delivered on November 1, 2010.
Members will be creating blogs/wikis. Members will be responsible for the manga collection keeping the books shelved, suggesting new titles, and checking for missing volumes. There was discussion regarding fund raising and book reviews. Book reviews will be added to the library's Shelfari. Members with the best blog/wiki will be recognized as well as those who spend the most time shelving and organizing the collection. Club dues will remain $3.00. The next meeting will be on October 20 in the library. Logan and Joe will meet prior to this in order to discuss club activities. Suggestions welcome.

New Mural

New Mural

Jesse Shipe, student teacher (art) created a fabulous mural using designs from Jonnie and Andrew, manga club members. Students from Mr. Guenther's art classes have been painting the mural. CLICK HERE to take a look at the video to see the progress! The colors and design are fabulous and we are all looking forward to the installation of the mural in the library!

New Year 2010!

The SHS Manga Club continues to meet monthly at the Strasburg High School Library. We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Shipe, student teacher (art), to our March meeting. Ms. Shipe has agreed to assist the club with creating a large mural for the library to hang above the manga collection. We are very excited about this project and look forward to a fabulous outcome! Please see Mrs. Bushman or Ms. Shipe if you are interested in this activity.

This month the club will be viewing Trinity Blood, Chapter 1 from Funimation.

Monthly manga quizzes have been held with prizes for the winners!
